Meteorology
- a science that deals with the atmosphere and its phenomena and especially with weather and weather forecasting
Ever wonder why weather men are also called meteorologists. In ancient Greece anything that fell from the sky whether it was an actual meteor or precipitation was considered to be a meteor. The individuals who studied these atmospheric objects were thus given the title of meteorologist.
